A música “Crazy In Love” de Beyoncé foi eleita pela edição americana da revista Rolling Stone a melhor música do século 21. Para chegar ao resultado, a revista pediu a opinião de jornalistas, figuras da indústria musical.
Além de ficar no topo da lista, Beyoncé ainda colocou mais duas músicas no ranking: “Formation” em 38° e “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” em 51°. Outros nomes que tiveram múltiplas entradas incluem Outkast (três músicas, mais uma participação especial) e Kanye West (três e mais “Ni**as In Paris” que ele gravou com Jay-Z).
Nenhuma música de 2018 entrou na relação, mas algumas de 2017, entre elas “Bodak Yellow” de Cardi B e “Sign Of The Times” de Harry Styles, essa em 49°, sendo a canção mais recente com melhor colocação, foram lembradas.
Eles fizeram uma lista das “100 melhores músicas do século XXI” e aparecem nomes como Adele, David Bowie, Justin Timberlake, e muitos outros. Na seleção tem apenas duas músicas latinas, como “Despacito”, mas nenhuma canção brasileira foi escolhida. Foram ouvidos artistas, críticos e pessoas envolvidas na indústria fonográfica.
